Why do I need a pan head tripod? Camera movement is not good for still images, but it can be annoying when you are shooting, so a solid set of “sticks” is essential. On the legs, you want something that will be as stable and easy as possible. Carbon fiber is good, but it is not absolutely necessary. Stability and flexibility are your top priorities.
The head is where things get a little straight. If you do not plan to move the camera while on the tripod to get pan shots, either type will do well, but eventually you will pass a standing shot. Fluid heads are a good option because the movement is wet to make it smooth. In addition, they hover over flat planes, which makes them more useful than most football heads.
How much is a hoodloupe needed? In moderation
Why do I need a hoodloupe? You will do 100% of your writing and concentration using the back screen of your camera, and that can cause some problems. Light can be a big problem when you shoot in the sun, and the loop will take care of that.
And you will probably focus on making the screen only as your reference, so having more magnification on your screen will give you a better view of your theme as you focus.
Also, eye-catching eyebrows allow you to take a camera look at your eye, as you would with a still camera, where many shooters, especially those of us who take still pictures, find it easier and perhaps less comforting.
How much is a medium pressure filter needed? In moderation
Why do I need a medium pressure filter? Shutter speed can be tricky when shooting a movement. You are limited in the last bit by the level of the frame you shoot. When your closing speed is too fast, your photos start to look weird and unnatural. A central congestion filter helps to keep that up.
It works just as well as it would in photography, allowing you to use a wide open space in bright conditions. But, it also allows you to slow down your shutter under the same bright lights to keep things looking smooth.
How much do we need a dedicated audio record? Very much
Why do I need a dedicated audio recorder? DSLRs can capture beautiful video, but when it comes to audio, the built-in microphone doesn't break. Ask any experienced video recorder and they will tell you that sound is important, so this is a great place to spend your budget. Here are some options to consider.
Dedicated audio recorder Having a standalone recorder provides more flexibility than a camera microphone because you can drop it anywhere you want and let it record. If you are going to shoot a video of your child's recital, you can put it in a fun place and take it wherever you like. They are also more customizable and easier to monitor than the camera solution. On the other hand, however, you will need to sync audio and video to the post, which adds time to your editing.
Shotgun microphone This type of microphone usually sits on a hot shoe and records sound directly from the camera. This can be good for racing style and gun style discussions and provides a sure improvement over the built-in recorder for your camera. They can be very direct, though, so you’ll probably get a good sound signal from things that happen right in front of you. They also need to stay attached to your camera, so that the sound can change as the camera moves.
Lavalier microphone You should if you are going to do a lot of document style discussions. These microphones attach directly to a person and provide the best quality when it comes to recording someone's voice. Until you go a long way in your video production, you probably won't need one of these.
How fast is a memory card needed? Extremely
Why do I need a fast memory card? Video images take up a lot of space on your memory card, so you'll need to make sure you have gigabytes to manage your recording. That part is obvious. Speed, however, is equally important and subtle to understand.
When shooting SD cards, look for a 10th class card. It is fast enough to keep up with the heavy data transmission. You will also notice that it is faster to upload your video to a faster card. Also, it may help you to insert a large amount of explosives into your camera in photography mode.
CF cards are usually as fast as they are. Pro Cards usually record at 600x or 1000x, can match your video recording no problem. The only quick card payment comes with a price, so look at your budget and get the fastest, most reliable credit cards you can pay. However, you may already be doing that anyway.
How much is video editing software needed? Very much
Why do I need video editing software? Video editing on DSLR has achieved an excellent job of simplicity and incredibly complex at the same time. Compared to film editing, it is a breeze. However, once you start trying to take it seriously by planning, the amount of difficulty you can add is unlimited. Adobe Premiere is an industry standard and can be purchased through the Adobe subscription model. If you are familiar with other programs in the Adobe family you will find them instantly.
